  9.     A VGA color system and a MicroSoft (tm) compatible mouse is required
  10.     to operate this application.

  12.     NOTE !!  Do not attempt to run this program on a 360k floppy drive.

  15.     Design SHELL is a complete and very user friendly Graphics User
  16.     Interface (GUI) or Menuing system.  It provides the user with
  17.     colorful picture icons for selecting sub menus or executing
  18.     applications or DOS commands.  Allows creating up to 30 menus
  19.     or applications on the opening page. Sub menus may be nested
  20.     three levels deep.  With this configuration, you could access
  21.     up to 27,000 menu selections.

  23.     Design SHELL provides the user with up to eight different screen
  24.     background color combinations, up to six different font types
  25.     with a 3D effect or flat faced, and includes a full featured Icon
  26.     editor for creating sixteen color picture icons.

  28.     All options can be fully password protected against entry.
  29.  
  30.     A library of 16 color icons (over 350) is available for downloading
  31.     on most BBS's in a file named: DS_ICONS.ZIP
  32.  
  33.     Registered users receive an Icon library with over 600 Icons
  34.     upon registering.

  37.     To run Design SHELL: Copy all files to a directory on your hard drive,
  38.                          move to that drive and directory and type: DESIGN
  39.  
  40.                          Design SHELL will operate from a HD floppy drive
  41.                          with no problems except reading and writing
  42.                          to icon files would be very slow.
  43.  
  44.                          For smoother operation, you may also include this
  45.                          drive and directory in your AUTOEXEC.BAT files
  46.                          PATH statement.  If you do this, you can start
  47.                          Design SHELL from any drive or directory on your
  48.                          system just by typing: DESIGN

  79.      NOTE !!  On some shareware versions the .HLP, .FNT, & .ICN files
  80.               may be compressed into a self extracting archive file
  81.               named "DS_FILES.EXE".   If you have one of these copies,
  82.               the first time you run Design SHELL, it will automaticaly
  83.               un-compress this file at startup.

  85.               Copy all files to a directory on your hard drive, move to
  86.               that directory and at the DOS prompt, type: DESIGN <enter>.
